We at Hat-Trick Futbol Academy believe that to be able to excel at something, you need to be passionate and knowledgeable about it. All across the World, soccer isn't just a way to exercise or make friends, but it's a way of life. Cultures seem to eat, drink, breathe, and dream about the sport morning, noon and night.

Our experience coaching soccer in the US, tells us that there just isn't enough passion in the sport, which may be a reason why the Mens' National Team still aren't a dominant force to be reckoned with when competing against other National teams (however, the gap is closing a little!)

I (David Wren) had a recent experience, that really opened my eyes as to how the most popular sport in the World, isn't really apprecisted in the US. I'll tell you the story.......Only several weeks ago, the Men's National Team were scheduled to play against Argentina in a friendly game (Argentina are currently ranked #1 in the World by FIFA). That same day, the NBA Finals started, of which it was the first game of 7 to be played, along with some baseball games too.

Because the EPL doesn't play over the summer, my wife had cancelled our subscription to the Sports Package on Direct TV and cancelled Setanta Sports to save a few bucks. So, if I wanted to watch the game, I had to go to a local Sports Bar to view it. After arriving, and ordering a burger and fries, I asked the General Manager if they could turn the channel over on the Big screen so that i could watch the Men's National Soccer Team play. He said "sure, but in 5 minutes I have to turn it over to watch the Basketball". Of course, i wasn't happy about that so i mentioned that they could put the basketball game one of the other 20 smaller screens for people to watch. His response was "can't do that, we have baseball going on.............."

Needless to say, I left quite sharply very disappointed and hungry. The point being, that there are so many options for people in the US, that Soccer has some tough times ahead to try and overcome the boundaries that are preventing the Sport from being as popular as it should be. The younger generations don't havetoo many issues, as the numbers that are now out there playing and competing continue to grow. BUT there will always be those around us that have no idea, no care, or no love for the game.

So...........Hat-Trick Futbol Academy want to try and do our part in making the sport of Soccer as popular as we can, and try and install the passion that it so lacks in the US. What better way to do that than FANTASY EPL SOCCER!

Here's the idea...............although the players in our area are talented soccer players, they seem to lack the knowledge and the passion to really drive forward. Soccer is not watched enough on TV, and the whole family generally don't participate together. We're hoping that Fantasy EPL Soccer can bring families closer together so that the parents can share something with their kids. They can choose their team together, they can make different teams so they can compete at home. Their siblings can join in so there's no age discrimination, you can watch some of your players on TV to see how they're performing. You can read reviews online, and so the knowledge of the game can improve. Throw in the fact that you'll probably start to support a team, and get to know the players on that team, plus being able to compete against your friends and others that have the same interests.

We think we can help the Triad area by exposing them to this. We want the players that we're working with to have the best possible opportunities and chances to excel and follow their dreams. To be the best soccer player you can, you MUST be passionate, you MUST be competitive, and you need the support from your family. Hopefully Fantasy EPL Soccer can help bring this all together.
